The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is experiencing the greatest period of growth in our history. There is more excitement within our organization and community than I have ever seen in my 19-year career as President/CEO.

In 2005, the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids was privileged to add two state-of-the-art facilities – David D. Hunting YMCA (downtown) and the Wolverine World Wide Family YMCA (Belmont/Rockford). We are proud to announce the addition of two more new facilities that will add to our efforts to meet our mission to put Christian principles into practice by providing programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

The YMCA is currently building a new Gainey Family branch in Cascade (to replace the existing Southeast branch) and a new Spartan Store branch in Wyoming, which are scheduled to open in the spring of 2010. These branches will provide the communities they serve with the opportunity to improve health and wellness through a wide variety of programs, from our traditional aquatics and fitness programs to our newer dance, music and arts and humanities programs, all of which can be accessed through this website.
