Our World Class staff is comprised of individuals from around the world who are extremely committed to being positive role models in the lives of today’s youth. Professional, experienced and educated directors lead an extensive pre-season training program designed to prepare each staff member for the key role they play in your child’s experience at Camp.

Greg Dodd
Executive Director
Greg has been with camp since March of 2011. He has worked for YMCA’s for over 30 years in Ohio, Florida and most recently was at YMCA Triangle Y Ranch in Tucson, Arizona.

Emily Buehler
Administrative Assistant
Emily joined the YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin team in April 2011. She’s a graduate of Michigan State University and enjoys camping, traveling, family and friends and has a large passion for wildlife.

Karin Denman
Senior Program Director
Karin has been on the shores of ol’ Lake Barlow since 2001. She grew up at a private camp in the Irish Hills of Michigan and has worked for several YMCA camps before Manitou-Lin. She has a B.F.A in Art Photography from Syracuse University and enjoys taking pictures for camp.

Kate Haywood
Outdoor Education and Day Camp Director
Kate has been involved with Camp Manitou-Lin since 2003 when she started as a Day Camp Counselor. She graduated from CMU with an Elementary Education degree. Prior to joining us at camp full time, she worked at the Caledonia child care site as well as in the Spartan Stores Y child care for the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids. Kate enjoys running, baking, and singing with the Grand Rapids Symphony Choir.

Kevin Morrison
Overnight Camp Director
Kevin has been at Camp Manitou-Lin for over 10 years in many different positions including Counselor, CIT Director, Outdoor Education Coordinator and Assistant Overnight Camp Director. He’s excited about meeting and reconnecting with our camper families as our Overnight Director.

Jaimee Picard
Equestrian Director
Jaimee has been with Camp Manitou-Lin since 2009. She comes from Mexico and has spent several years working with equestrian programs. She is a graduate from Rawhide Vocational College where she learned everything she needs to know to keep our herd healthy and happy. When she is not out with our horses, you can find her crafting with her son Lonney.

Don Suwyn
Property Manager
Don has been a staple here at camp since 2007. He comes from a long family history of farming but now spends his time tending to all the facilities at camp! He is our true “Handy Man” and takes great pride in all aspects of Manitou-Lin.
