Visser Family YMCA Offers A Free Staycation Event

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN – The Visser Family YMCA will be hosting a Staycation event on Friday, August 6th from 6-9pm and Saturday, August 7th from 2-5pm.
Friday night’s “Rock and Roll” theme includes food, music, skating and games. Saturday will include many different activities such as free food, kid’s games and sports, swim testing, Rockwall, fire trucks, ambulance, as well as Zumba and kick boxing demos for adults, and other giveaways.

YMCA Offers Art Out of the Box Workshop

CALEDONIA, MICHIGAN – The YMCA Program Center in Caledonia will be offering an Art Out of the Box Workshop. This workshop will begin Tuesday, March 2nd at 6:00pm until 7:30pm . The Art Out of the Box Workshop will run for seven weeks.
During this workshop children will be enhancing their creativity, expression and confidence while painting, drawing, 3D story telling and movement.

YMCA Strong Kids Campaign Auction Success

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN – The Wolverine World Wide Family YMCA 2010 Strong Kids Campaign kickoff auction was a huge success.
Throughout the night there were both live and silent auctions. The auctions included a variety of items such as a beach party boat trip on Lake Michigan, a guided Pheasant Preserve Hunt, a ride to school in a Rockford fire engine, concert tickets to see U2 and a 1984 World Series autographed baseball.
