As the community looks forward to the opening of the new Spartan Stores YMCA this coming August, the newly opened Spartan Stores YMCA Membership Information Center is already handling walk-in traffic and taking dozens of calls requesting information about membership and programs that will be offered at the YMCA’s newest 96,000 square foot facility in Kent County.
The Spartan Stores YMCA Membership Information Center, located at 5751 Byron Center Ave. S.W., Suite P, Bayberry Market in Wyoming, began to set up their office when 42 phone calls came through the first day and foot traffic starting coming in through their doors. Those that would like information sent to them can call 616-532-3399, or log on at http://www.grymca.org.
Bev Thiel, Executive Director of the Spartan Stores YMCA said, “The YMCA did its homework researching this area so we are not surprised to get so many inquirers. There is a huge demand for a professional licensed childcare and state-of-the-art fitness center that offers so many family programs.”
New Spartan Stores Y members that sign up in May will save $100 off their membership and receive a very nice gym bag. And for the kids, they get a sports bag with a water bottle and other cool stuff. Also, members who sign up now will have the option to start their membership now and take advantage of any of the greater Grand Rapids branches or wait until August when the new Y opens.
