Wyoming, MI: The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids research pays off as the Spartan Stores YMCA membership numbers breaks 2,000.

The YMCA knew that demand for a state-of-the-art fitness center that offered a top-notch child development center, the latest fitness equipment, a wide variety of classes from music to yoga to babysitter training to cardio workouts, would do well in the Wyoming/Byron Center area.

Bev Thiel, Executive Director of Spartan Stores YMCA, said, “Signing up 2,000 members by the end of the year is very gratifying given the economy. The Spartan Stores Y can still comfortably handle twice this number of members due to the fact that the facility is 96,000 square feet.”

Conveniently located off M-6 at the Byron Center Avenue exit, the Spartan Stores YMCA facility in Wyoming serves all communities in southern Kent County.
