ACTIVATE WEST MICHIGAN
A member of Y-USA’s Activate America, the mission of this community collaborative is to improve health and quality of life by promoting healthy and active lifestyles among West Michigan individuals, families, and communities. This initiative focuses on planning to determine community needs, developing collaborative partnerships, promoting community involvement, and evaluating program success.
Activate West Michigan focuses on its four divisions:
- Public Policy including city, county, state, and federal advocacy work
- Healthy U which targets schools in vulnerable communities
- Community, including health care facilities and churches
- Corporate Health and Wellness to enhance wellness of local companies and their employees
