In partnership with the Van Andel Institute for Education, we are offering this Mobile Classroom Field Trip.
Step into the role of a scientific pit crew in this high-speed challenge! Your child will use their knowledge of magnetism to design and engineer a maglev (magnetic levitation) vehicle.
By exploring the differences between permanent magnets and electromagnets, they will discover how to achieve levitation and propulsion. They’ll then build their own maglev vehicle, ensuring it’s fast and capable of safely transporting passengers on a magnetic track.
The competition heats up as teams race to create the fastest, most efficient design. This activity demonstrates that STEM is for all, inviting everyone to engage, innovate, and succeed in the exciting world of engineering
