Katy is a NASM certified trainer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She loves teaching group fitness and seeing the positive impact that movement and exercise can make on people. She believes in a balanced training program, incorporating cardio-respiratory, resistance, balance and flexibility training. As an experienced marathon runner, Katy values the power of goal-setting; she recognizes the tremendous effect that reaching goals can have on one’s physical and mental health.
Outside of teaching and training at the YMCA, Katy is a wife and mom to two active boys. She loves nurturing the same love of sports and fitness in them, and claims they keep her young!
