Valerie is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. She has 10 years of experience working with people to improve their nutrition and overall health. Valerie knows that there is a lot of nutrition information to wade through in our current diet-focused culture but wants to simplify eating healthy to help you achieve sustainable benefits. She believes that there are no good or bad foods but that being able to include all foods in moderation is the most realistic and effective strategy. Valerie likes to focus on identifying which behaviors related to food may be leading to negative health outcomes and help people find sustainable ways to change those behaviors. She believes that restrictive diets don’t work in the long run and aims to help people see nutrition as a spectrum rather than in black and white.
