Wayne has been training individuals and small groups in the areas of fitness, wellness and physical readiness for over 30 years. Beginning the journey in 1996, he instructed and coached both incumbent officers and police recruits, helping personnel achieve not only their personal goals, but also preparing them to successfully pass the MCOLES physical fitness exit test for law enforcement certification and licensing. Upon retirement in 2013, he transitioned to the private sector where he continues to instruct, train and coach fitness and wellness principles to both individuals and small groups. His focus is on functional strength, balance and stability. Through his extensive background, he understands the intricacies of sustaining personal health while managing the rigors of a professional life. As master-level athlete/trainer, he is also intimately aware of the unique challenges that face older adults who are trying to maintain a longevity-focused lifestyle. He holds a BA from Michigan State University, an MS from Ferris State University, and is a Certified Person Trainer through NASM. He also holds Law Enforcement Fitness Specialist and Master Fitness Specialist certifications from the Cooper Institute (Dallas, TX).
