Summer Teen Leadership Academy
The Summer Teen Leadership Academy program is an exciting and unique experience designed to decrease the effects of summer learning loss and prepare high schoolers for success in school, higher education, and prosperous careers.

For students who have completed 9th, 10th, or 11th grade
Youth participating will cultivate the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement. Students in our program explore career paths and post-secondary options through workplace tours, guest speakers, and project-based learning. The program is organized into multiple components, each focusing on building different skills.
Available to students enrolled in Grand Rapids Public Schools, Godwin Heights Public Schools, Godfry-Lee Public Schools, Kentwood Public Schools, or Wyoming Public Schools.
What is offered:
- Get paid to participate! You will receive a stipend for your time spent in the Summer Teen Leadership Academy based on your participation

- Tour workplaces to get an idea of what you would like to do after high school
- Explore different career options
- Guest speakers
- Transportation and meals provided
