Since 1913, YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin has been a place to make memories, create true friendships and changing the lives of kids, parents and families. From opening night camp fires to spending your days soaking up the sun, making a splash on Barlow Lake, or horseback riding, your Camp experience was filled with memories.

For some of you, YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin was the first place that you spent the night away from home or the first time your child spent the night away. For others, Camp is where you found lifelong friendships. Whether you spent one day or ten years attending Camp, you are part of our family. As a member of our family we hope to better stay in touch with you and help you connect with the friends and memories you’ve made here at your home away from home.

Alumni Spring Work Day
Please join us for a fun day of work projects to help get camp ready for the summer season. All alumni (staff, campers, Service Club members, board members, etc.) and their friends or family are invited. Work projects will begin at 9:00am and lunch will be served at noon. Optional afternoon projects will begin at 1:00pm. 2022 dates coming soon!

Alumni Picnic
Alumni Picnic – takes place during the first night of Labor Day Family Camp. All alumni are invited to dinner at the Lodge, enjoy some s’mores and camp activities, and sing and dance with us at a campfire to end the evening. This is a family-friendly event – children and/or partners are welcome – but please leave your furry friends at home.

Alumni Campfire
Alumni Campfire – takes place during the last night of summer staff training. This beloved tradition allows our brand-new summer staff to sit back and enjoy a traditional Camp Manitou-Lin Farewell Fire, as performed by several generations of camp alumni. Alumni also have the chance to share words of advice and fond memories of their years working at camp. For the last several years, this event has been coupled with our CML Board of Directors and Grand Rapids YMCA Service Club Steak Fry, so our alumni are able to connect with the new generation of camp staff over a delicious meal.

Alumni Winter Social
Alumni Winter Social – takes place in late winter each year. This is a chance for alumni of all ages to enjoy a social outing together, share memories of their time at camp, and catch up with each other. This event is for alumni age 18 and up.
