Teen Leadership Camp
YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin’s 160 acres include rolling hills, fields, woods, waterfront access on beautiful Barlow Lake, hiking trails, various program areas, cabins and meeting spaces. We encourage you to schedule a tour with a staff member to see firsthand what our beautiful and historic property has to offer. Experience a week where the outdoors is the center of FUN and lasting friendships are made.
Leader in Training (LIT) - $1,095
Ages: Completed 9th Grade Co-Ed
The LIT program allow teen campers to explore their leadership skills while developing good character qualities, participating in service learning and enjoying camp activities. This two-week program focuses on developing leadership skills during the first week as a group. The second week, the LITs will participate in a South Manitou Island backpacking trip. This program is a must to become a Counselor-in-Training or Junior Counselor.

Counselor-In-Training (CIT) - $895
Ages: Completed 10th Grade Co-Ed
The CIT program allows our oldest teen campers to learn about youth development through the lens of a camp staff member during this two-week program. After completing the program, participants can apply to serve as a Junior Counselor for the following summer, the next step before becoming a YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin staff member.

Packing List
Sleeping bag or blankets in stuff sack or plastic bag
Pillow
Laundry bag
1 bath towel, 1 beach towel, 1 washcloth or loofah
- Shampoo and soap
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Deodorant/antiperspirant
- Comb and/or brush
- Waterproof jacket or rain poncho
- Sweatshirt
- Long sleeve shirt
- Pajamas or other sleeping clothes
- Underwear and socks for each day, plus two extra
- T-shirt for each day
- Shorts
- 2 pairs of long pants (required for horseback riding)
- 2 pairs of shoes (in case one pair gets wet)
- Sandals with heel straps (i.e. Tevas, Chacos, Crocs)
- Swimsuit (1-piece or trunk style is recommended)
- Refillable water bottle (wide mouth preferred, i.e. Nalgene)
- Sunscreen (spray or cream)
- Bug spray
- Chapstick
- Flashlight and/or headlamp
- Playing cards, UNO, travel games, etc (optional)
- Book or quiet activity for reading time
- Notebook or journal and pen/pencil
- White t-shirt or other clothing item to tie-dye
Theme Weeks
Spend the first week of camp as a superhero, ready to fight the villains. Wear your cape, bring your “Spidey Sense” and be prepared to save the day at YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin!
Ahoy matey! Campers will experience a week of pirates and mermaids. We will meet you under (and above) the sea and create an ocean of memories.
It’s-a-me…YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin! Come visit for a week of your favorite Minecraft and Mario characters. Bring your best costume and have the best week.

A long time ago in a camp NOT so far away … It’s time to blast off into the galaxy – don’t forget your droids and light sabers! It’s the return of Star Wars week at YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin. Fly your Millennium Falcon to camp and prepare to have an amazing time. The force will be strong with your camper during this entertaining week.
Once upon a time there lived a group of campers who experienced “A Whole New World”, because “When You Wish Upon a Star” you’ll be back at camp “For the First Time in Forever”! Bring your best costume and “Be Our Guest” as we celebrate your favorite fairytale characters.
