PARENT INFORMATION

The YMCA School Age framework was developed in partnership with the YMCA of the USA and the National Institute on Out-of-School-Time (NIOST).

We provide a reliable, safe, and engaging environment where your child can prepare for their school day with confidence and unwind afterward. Our programs are designed with busy families in mind, offering convenient hours and affordable options including Before and After School Care, Half Day Care, No School Day Care, and Snow Day Care. With support from caring, dedicated staff, youth receive academic support and encouragement that enhances their learning experience, giving families more time to focus on what matters most, quality time together.

Impact After School Program

Grades: 5th-8th

The Y ensures that the time gap after school is filled creatively and constructively. The Visser Family YMCA’s Impact After School Program is an exciting and unique partnership between the Y, Grandville, Jenison and Hudsonville Public School systems, and corporate and foundation donors.

In our Impact After School Program, youth are cultivating the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement.

Every day students come to a safe and engaging environment at the Y and have access to tutoring and homework assistance, health and fitness activities, mentoring, a healthy meal, and so much more. Free busing is provided through the school districts.

Registration for the 2026/27 school year is open!

Please choose a location below and click on the REGISTER NOW link. You will be directed to the sign up page where you can register for before- and after-school programs, half day care or no school day care. Ages, pricing and rates vary by location. Registration paperwork must be received prior to a child’s first day in the program. Child must attend the school that they are registering before-and after-school care for. A $25 registration fee is applied with each new registration submission. Before and after school care during the same time period are considered one registration.
