Achieve and master new skills and strokes while having fun swimming and gaining confidence with America’s favorite swim instructor. Our swim lessons are taught by trained, qualified swim instructors.
As America’s favorite swim instructor and leader in water safety we’ve committed to inspiring your swimmer to meet goals, take challenges, and grow in confidence and abilities. And with our low student-to-instructor ratio your child will receive plenty of personal attention. All instructors and lifeguards are trained to deliver the optimal swim and water safety experience with the best techniques to strengthen your swimmer’s skills all year long.
Swim Lesson Offerings
We suggest registering by age group and swim instructors will place children in the appropriate group based on skill and then track their progress.
Led by an instructor, get in the pool with your child and learn lifesaving information. Build memories through games that teach your child pre-swim skills while achieving comfort in the water. Swimmer must be at least 6 months old on first day of class and be able to control head movement.
PARENT/CHILD A: WATER DISCOVERY
Ages 6 Months – 36 Months
Accompany your child while they gain comfort in the water and develop essential swim readiness skills through a fun, confidence-building experience. • 30 minutes • Waterproof diaper required for those not potty trained • 12:1 student-to-instructor ratio

PRESCHOOL 1: WATER ACCLIMATION
Designed for beginner swimmers to help your child gain comfort in underwater exploration and develop independent movement with aid from an instructor as well as how to safely exit in the event of falling into a body of water. • 30 minutes • 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio
PRESCHOOL 2: WATER MOVEMENT
Develop skills focused on independent floating and gliding in the water while continuing to build upon basic self-rescue skills performed unassisted. • 30 minutes • 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio
Pre-requisites Pass Stage 1: Water Acclimation or ability to perform these skills:
- Go under water and comfortable opening eyes without goggles
- Float on front and back with minimal assistance
- Jump in the pool, submerge and return to the wall with assistance
PRESCHOOL 3: WATER STAMINA
Learn arm and leg integrated movement, how to propel forward on front and back, as well as how to swim to safety from longer distances while practicing skills and techniques in deeper water. • 30 minutes • Goggles optional • 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio
Pre-requisites Pass Stage 1: Water Acclimation or ability to perform these skills:
- Go under water & comfortable open eyes without goggles
- Float on front and back with minimal assistance
- Jump in the pool, submerge and return to the wall with assistance
PRESCHOOL 4: STROKE INTRODUCTION
Develop stroke techniques for the front and back crawl, breaststroke kick, and butterfly kick. Water safety is reinforced through practicing safety techniques in deeper water such as treading water and elementary back stroke. • 30 minutes • 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio
YOUTH 1: WATER ACCLIMATION

YOUTH 4: STROKE INTRODUCTION

- Submerge and retrieve an object in chest deep water
- Swim front crawl 15 yards while taking a breath unassisted
- Swim-float-swim 15 yards unassisted
- Jump in and tread water for 30 seconds unassisted
- Swim to wall and exit unassisted
YOUTH 5: STROKE DEVELOPMENT
Build stamina in the front and back crawl through stroke technique drills, while learning all major competitive strokes including the breaststroke and butterfly. Water Safety is reinforced through building endurance techniques in treading water and sidestroke. • 40 minutes; Goggles recommended • 6:1 student-to-instructor ratio Pre-requisites Pass Stage 4: Stroke Introduction or ability to perform these skills:
- Front crawl and back crawl 25 yards unassisted
- Swim breaststroke kick and butterfly kick 15 yards unassisted
- Tread water using multiple kicks for 1 minute unassisted
YOUTH 6: STROKE MECHANICS
Enhance endurance in competitive strokes while developing skills related to competitive swim such as flip turns. Discover how to incorporate swimming into a lifelong healthy lifestyle while refining skills and building endurance in deep water. • 40 minutes; Goggles recommended • 6:1 student-to-instructor ratio Pre-requisites Pass Stage 5: Stroke Development or ability to perform these skills:
- Swim front crawl with bent arm recovery and rotary breathing for 25 yards
- Swim back crawl with stroke rotation for 25 yards
- Swim butterfly with over arm recovery
- Swim breaststroke for 25 yards achieving stroke rhythm
- Dive from kneeling position
AQUATIC CONDITIONING
Swimmers work on stroke refinement and work on more advanced skills while increasing distance and speed and building endurance to move to a more competitive level. Individual goals are set at the beginning of each session with personal bests logged throughout session.
JR LIFEGUARD CLUB
The Junior Lifeguard Club teaches preteens and teens lifesaving skills and water safety for pools and waterfront sites while emphasizing teamwork and leadership. Club members gain a wide variety of skills including CPR and First Aid certifications, basic water assists, and will also spend time improving swimming endurance.
ADULT SWIM BASICS
For those adults not fully comfortable around water and looking to learn the basic strokes and skills to build confidence and be more comfortable with water activity. Swimmers will focus on basic techniques with the use of floatation devices to gain knowledge of basic breathing techniques and basic strokes such as front paddle, side paddle, and back paddle. • 8:1 student-to-instructor ratio
ADULT STROKE INTRODUCTION
Develop stronger strokes, improve endurance with helpful techniques to develop comfortable movement in the water. Start moving into rhythmic breathing and all around confidence in the water. Introduction to freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and resting strokes. • 8:1 student-to-instructor ratio
ADULT STROKE DEVELOPMENT
Further development of freestyle, breast stroke and backstroke. Special attention to skills through a variety of drills with the use of lap swimming. This is good for increasing endurance and developing advanced swim skills over a longer distance with increased confidence. • 8:1 student-to-instructor ratio
MASTERS SWIM TRAINING
Coached swim training for competitive swimmers, triathletes, open water swimmers, and those looking for a great total body workout. No competitive experience required.
