Pete grew up in Grand Rapids MI where he attended high school and college. Pete received his bachelor’s degree at Aquinas where he studied fine arts alongside exercise science. Pete found his love for exercise through various weightlifting classes in high school and his physical training for soccer and hockey. Pete’s natural ability to motivate, lead, and coach provided opportunities throughout his sports career. This resulted in Pete being captain on many teams, receiving all-conference honors in soccer, and most importantly, enhancing Pete’s drive to elevate the performance of his teammates and himself. Later in life, this translated to assisting those around him, including his family and friends, to be the best version of themselves.
Pete’s Personal Training career started in 2015, when he achieved his National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Personal Training certification. He then obtained his Strength and Conditioning certification followed by his Corrective Exercise Specialist certification, all through NASM. Pete has worked with a variety of clients ranging from youth to seniors, high school and college athletes, novice weightlifters and runners. In the last few years, he has found love for working in adaptive fitness with clients that have diverse abilities. Pete plans on receiving his Adaptive Personal Trainer certification in hopes of expanding his knowledge in adaptive fitness for clients of all abilities.
