Ashley is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Science from Grand Valley State University. Ashley began her career in a clinical setting working as a physical therapy aide for an outpatient clinic. Utilizing that knowledge and experience, she has a better understanding of the transition to the gym after an injury and how to help prevent future injuries. At Mary Free Bed YMCA, Ashley has been involved with the Livestrong Program, Healthy Weight Loss Program, and the Mary Free Bed Bridge Program. Through these experiences she has been able to work with a variety of individuals. Ashley specializes in strength training for women. She enjoys helping women of all ages gain the confidence to lift weights and feel strong. It is never too late to start! As a Pre/Postnatal Performance Specialist through Pronatal Fitness, she can help women before, during and after pregnancy. Ashley has her Level 1 Precision Nutrition Certification and TRX Suspension Training Certification. Ashley believes that fitness should be a lifestyle change and not just a quick fix.
